LiveKindly Collective - Website Film

This project was so much fun. It was great to work with this exciting player in food industry aiming to make plant-based food more accessible and exciting. This film lived on the corporate website to draw visitors in and communicate the identity and lifestyle of the company.

Woolworths - Let It Shine

Our latest project for Woolworths features rising star Lloyiso in our soulful rendition of Christmas within the unusually restricted pandemic age we're living in. A sensitive, emotive and beautiful reimagining of the festive spirit, created through careful casting and naturalistic cinematography and imaging. We are extremely proud of this one! 

Trace #StandUpNShine TVC

Our latest project, the global campaign for Trace expresses their new brand mission to empower Afro-urban youth around the world through education & entertainment.


We produced the video & stills for the campaign as well as a stock library to support the marketing activities in the future.

BMW x MTV "ENJOY EVERY EDGE" PROMO

We were tasked with adapting the existing BMW 4 Series Coupe global TVC into a promo for MTV featuring the stunning Nomalanga Shozi. We think it's dope!

Nadia Naked - The Album Documentary

Our first feature-length documentary and our first project with Showmax, Nadia Naked - The Album Documentary is an intimate window into the mind of the Queen of African Rap, Nadia Nakai & the story behind the making of her debut album, Nadia Naked.

Bar One - The Power For The Extra Hour TVC

Release Date: 21 June 2019

What started off as a fun little social media campaign with JWT Johannesburg turned into a TVC based purely on public demand on Bar One's social media platforms. Our Director, Sizmeister, hand-picked the Intellectual Pantsula crew as he knew they had the right vibe & energy & the unique location we scouted made this a really interesting and authentic piece of content.

Yo! MTV Raps TV Show

Yo! MTV Raps is the iconic TV show that put hip hop on mainstream television for the first time in the 1980s. After pitching against some of the most established TV production companies, MTV base selected Visual Content Gang based on our high-end execution & our authentic connection with local hip hop on the ground. The Visual Content Gang was founded based on a love of hip hop and a belief in the local scene & it was our honour to be charged with capturing and representing the scene on this global platform.

Kit Kat - Snap Out Of It

We're all about new wave content, and this insta-story project for Kit Kat is a great example of how content is transforming and taking shape. The Snap Out Of It campaign showed people in every day situations that could make you lose your cool, but luckily Kit Kat is always at hand to help you out. Our first project with the upcoming content director Dunndidit which shows his versatility across social media platforms and as a trained actor, he is also great with performance. 

BET - Hip Hop Awards Cyphers 2018

We should be known as the custodians of the local hip hop game by now! Have you ever seen a cypher session in SA that looks as fresh as this? This particular Ivyson Cypher is sitting on 609k views on BET's YouTube page & is one of the most talked about cyphers in the local game. Of course the featured artists are on the top of their game, but we know that our lens and cutting skills contributed big time to making this one of the most successful cyphers to date.

Dove - Real Underarm Story: Thandazile Radebe

Release Date: 26 October 2018

What an honour to tell a piece of the story of Thandazile Radebe, one of South Africa's foremost dance and theatre practioners. TAKEZITO spent a lot of time with Thandazile, getting to know her life & story before choosing the locations and flow of the piece, according to the brief but also bringing in new elements. We think representation is key to unlocking the growth and power of the African continent and this brand film is a testament to the greatness that resides in contemporary African culture.

MTV Base - Gqom Nation - The Documentary

Release Date: 29 March 2018

The Visual Content Gang was selected to produce the ground-breaking dance and music TV show called Gqom Nation for MTV base and with it we pushed the boundaries of TV show aesthetics and helped to boost the sub-genre of Gqom onto the mainstream landscape. Besides producing 8 studio-based episodes, we also produced an in-depth documentary on the Gqom culture & history which shows the richness of the culture, not only as a club music genre but as a youth movement that back agency through self-taught and technologically-enabled creativity.

Puma - Do You - Part 1

Our clients, PUMA & Ogivly Cape Town briefed us to create a series of down-to-earth insta-stories that would encourage women to enter and be part of the #DoYou campaign with her majesty Nomzamo Mbatha. The stories and mood captured spoke straight to Nomzamo and the campaigns soul and were received with much love by the audience.

Damian Marley - Speak Life

Release Date: 28 January 2018

We are honoured to have worked with the LA-based Mochilla team to capture Damian Marley's auspicious first ever tour of Africa. One element of the project was the music video for the track Speak Life off Jnr. Gong's album Stony Hill. This music video saw TAKEZITO working closely with world-renowned photographer and filmmaker B+ to create this rich and textured video set and shot in Addis Abab, Ethiopia. TAKEZITO worked with local fixers, Orange Switch, to source locations, cast and styling for the shoot. TAKEZITO also did the art direction for the fire scene, which shows his versality as a creative who thinks on his feet with a strong visual mind.

Cassper Nyovest - 'Will You Be There?" TVC

We have collaborated with Cassper Nyovest since documenting the Fill Up The Dome preparations and process featured on the live DVD. Following on from this, Cassper briefed TAKEZITO to concpetualise and produce a simple but impactful TVC to promote Fill Up FNB Stadium show, which is his biggest show to date. 

Damian Marley - Stony Hill To Addis

Release Date: 6 October 2017

We are proud, honoured & humbled to have worked with the legendary team at the LA-based Mochilla to produce this powerful documentary for Damian Jr Gong Marley covering his auspicious first-ever tour of Africa. The documentary premiered on TIDAL and later on YouTube.

When we started this content studio, our goal was to show the world what Africa is all about using popular culture as a tool for spreading a positive, progressive energy. This is no doubt a monumental step for us & we are grateful & excited to keep pushing further & further.

Philips - Now That's Smooth

Release Date: 3 March 2017

We were briefed by Ogilvy Johannesburg to produce 3 x online commercials for Philips to launch their new clipper in the 3 major African territories - South Africa, Nigeria & Kenya. The commercials were a dope exploration of the nuances of language and culture in the territories & were an opportunity for TAKEZITO to use his comprehensive travels on the continent to bring credibility to each script and execution.

Hypebeast - Mzansi Style Guide (Vol. 1)

Release Date: 20 June 2016.

We are very proud of have been selected by HYPEBEAST to capture a snippet of South African youth culture.

Vol. 1 of "Mzansi Style Guide" series for HYPEBEAST gets familiar with adidas Originals AREA3 concept store; the hidden gem DIP ST. Store; & the most styla coffee shop Father Coffee - all of which are part of the growing creative scene in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Our goal is to put African youth voices on the global map & that's what this series has started to do. To have people from around the world saying that this is some of the best content they've seen on Hypebeast makes us very proud. 

Youngsta - Top Ten List (Official Music Video)

Release Date: Friday, 13 May 2016.

This iconic music video for YoungstaCPT was a goodbye gift to Cape Town from TAKEZITO as he left the city for Johannesburg to take over the media & entertainment game. Filled with horror-based metaphors of killing the game, we can only believe that this is prophecy.

Boolz - Aphe Kapa (Official Music Video)

Release Date: 28 November 2014.

As a company that started off in Cape Town as an underdog, we love to support Cape Town and underdog artists. In this music video for BOOLZ, TAKEZITO captured a unique view of the Langa township & the lifestyle of BOOLZ as a kasi baller. We aim to represent the culture in it's many aspects in all of our work.

MAXHOSA BY LADUMA - MY HERITAGE, MY INHERITANCE (FASHION FILM)

Release Date: 9 April 2014.

Our first project and TAKEZITO's debut film for his friend Laduma Ngxoxolo was a passion project that helped to get the Maxhosa brand message out to a larger audience and we are proud to be a small part of the amazing success story that his Maxhosa By Laduma as it continues to make amazing strides in the global fashion industry.
